Jake, born in Glasgow, more years ago than he cares to remember, trained as a commercial artist in the late fifties at the same time as he got his first motorbike, a James with a 225 Villiers engine, passed his test on a Triumph Tiger Cub in 1958 and has been inseparable from bikes ever since.
In 1977 he moved to Cellardyke, in the East Neuk of Fife.
Where he lives with his wife Maggi, three dogs, a cat and a couple of bikes, an RT BMW (well he is getting on a bit) and a model 30 International Norton from 1936.
